Floyd "Pretty Boy" Floyd, of Grand Rapids ,MI. and Oscar De La Hoya, of Los Angeles, CA. fought for the WBC Super Welterweight World Championship Saturday May 5, 2007 at the MGM Grand Gardens in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mayweather won a 12 round split decision to become the new champion. Referee was Kenny Bayless and judges were Jerry Roth, Chuck Giampa and Tom Kaczmarek.
